King of Fighters isn't a ghetto version of Street Fighter, it's a very good series that has taken in most of the characters from all of SNK's fighting games. There's several characters that are based on Hong Kong action movie stars, there's the obivous Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, and Jet Li "homages" but also ones to lesser actors like Simon Yuen and even some WTF ones like Cynthia Rothrock.

Most serious fighting game players consider SNK games to be superior to Capcom's. I'm in the middle on that theory, but I've always liked the Capcom Vs SNK series.

And I'm with MPM, Maggie Q is such a no-name now. I tried that new Need for Speed with her in it - the cutscenes make Fast and Furious look like a good movie.

Shu Qi can actually be a good actress though. She's been total crap in a lot of movies like Young and Dangerous 5, but she was really solid in Portland Street Blues.

I couldn't get her to the top but I could give her a PBA card.

She's a bit too skinny for me looks-wise (a carpenter's dream - flat as a board and easy to nail) but still pretty easy on the eyes IMO, and actually she seems nice in interviews like when she was on Conan promoting Balls of Steel (actually a somewhat funny movie).

But after I rented the latest Need for Speed game, where she's the star of the cut-scenes, I am really not a fan of her acting now. But that might be more to the crappy script, the guys at EA must still think that people actually like that Fast and Furious shit.
